At Bowed Strings, the ABRSM graded exam preparation is thoughtfully woven into every lesson, alongside regular opportunities to perform. Throughout the year, students take part in studio and group sessions for small performance exposure and music making with like-minded friends. From 2024 to 2026, 90% of our students achieved High Merit to Distinction in their ABRSM graded examinations.
Exams give a student a clear next step. Performances give them a reason to play for people. Bowed Strings does both, so a certificate on the wall and the confidence to walk on stage arrive together.

Exam preparation happens inside regular lessons, not as a separate course. As the exam date approaches, lessons shift towards the full syllabus and the habits an examiner rewards.

Official ABRSM examination fees remain separate from lesson fees and are payable directly to the examination board. Our team will guide you through the registration process where necessary.
